National Anthem Singer
Ebonique is an R&B and Neo-Soul singer and songwriter, inspired by her long time musical influences including Anita Baker, India.Arie, Jazmine Sullivan, and Ari Lennox. Ebonique, born in Portsmouth, Virginia and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, began singing in church at the age of six. As an energetic and animated child, Ebonique began to perform in school plays and carried that energy into leading her church’s youth choir. As a young girl, her mother and sister would play gospel music everyday which is where she developed her never-ending love for music and how it made her feel. Although R&B is her first love, she is a student of music having performed a plethora of music ranging from classical to Negro spirituals composed by Moses Hogan in her middle school and high school choirs. As a graduate of Florida State University, she has hosted and performed in various venues around the Jacksonville and Tallahassee areas.
